I'm dying to know... Does ProActiv acne treatment really work??

It depends on the person; from my personal experience, no, ProActiv did not work. It all has to do with the severity/type of your acne.

ProActiv uses Benzoyl Peroxide as it%26#039;s active ingredient, which is indeed the same as many over-the-counter acne medications out there (a la Clearasil, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, etc). It, along with salicylic acid, is one of the most common acne medications you%26#039;ll see in the drug store.

Benzoyl peroxide will not work for INFLAMMATORY/moderate acne -- which is the kind that leads to pustules (pus-filled), for example.

Hope this helps.|||I used it for about a year and it never really seemed to work.|||A friend of mine used Pro Active for a while, her face cleared up , but when she stopped using the stuff her face broke out alot, ,. She went to a derm, and was told the same stuff that proactive uses is in the same thing that like Clearasil, and everybody uses.|||Yes, it works very good. It does take two or three weeks before you notice a big difference but I couldn%26#039;t go without it.|||yes it does if u wanna go through all that work every sick and tired day of ur life i tried it and after a while i started thinking i%26#039;d rather have acne then go through all this work i%26#039;d find something simpler. Just try drinking alot of water and wash ur face with apricot scrub once a day
