Im a teenager, and like most teens i have acne, but not a lot luckily. What's the best treatment system?

I used Proactive and it did not work for me! My skin was too sensitive for the benzoil peroxide and it made everything red and blotchy. So i guess it just depends on the persons skin.

I find natural remedies to work for me.

Here%26#039;s some tips. When washing your face use hot/warm water. And afterward when you rinse use cold water. The hot water will open up your pores so that you can thoroughly remove dirt and oil. Cold water tightens the pores to prevent possible breakouts.

Tea Tree oil is natures cure for acne.

Also glycerin-based soaps work well.

Avoid anything with fragrances that will irritate or dry the skin. When skin is dry it basically tells your sebum glands to produce more oil to balance things out. When excess oil is produce it can intensify your acne probs.|||im a teen too...and i had a bit of acne until i started using aveeno clear complection products and apricot st.ives scrub..it exfoliates and treats. also i have to agree with the sun treatment..and if possible try swimming in salt water (on vacation) it dries out your skin and at the same time keeps it soft. hope this helps...good luck!|||Change your diet. Wash up, and just avoid fatty foods.|||try to use gentle scrubs. i use Neutrogena Gentle Scrub and it worked for me. you could use others like:

St. Ives

Clean and Clear

Proactive

...good luck! wash your face with cool water not warm %26#039;cuz it%26#039;ll make your skin peel.|||proactive deffinitaly!

:D

or murad.|||acnefree

you can buy it at target|||whatever you do buddy don%26#039;t scratch them...they can scar you permanently. just keep your face clean and try using cleaning products. if that doesnt work wait some time. they usually stop growing or at least as frequently when you%26#039;re no longer a teenager.|||getting some sun is the best way. get a slight tan and it Will dry up your skin a bit. trust me, a dermatologist will tell you the same thing.|||I think the most important thing is not the brand, but the method. Make sure you wash your face before bed, then use a toner to close your pores, then use a moisterizer. YES, a moisterizer. That was my mistake when I had acne - I dried my skin out which ended up just producing more and more oil and more acne. You can find a moisterizer made especially for your skin type - something light and unscented usually works best.

In the morning, do the same routine - wash, toner and moisterize.

My favorite brand is Neutrogena.
