Benzyl peroxide 10%, is it effective for spot acne treatment?

i know it can be irritating to apply to whole face, but if i use the cream for my big acne spots, will that help get rid of them???|||Hell yeah man|||I would say not a good idea because even though you are not applying it to the whole face side effects could still happen.
