As a treatment for acne my doctor has recommended a 'potassium stone'. Where can i find one and does it work?

If your doctor has recommended it they should be able to tell you where you can get one and how it works .I would also love to know because my son also suffers with acne Why don%26#039;t you get in touch with your GP again and ask him to explain it to you|||Ask Harry Potter, he%26#039;s got acne too.|||Call and ask every grocery store.

I don%26#039;t know if it works.|||Potassium Alum is an inorganic salt and is also known as Potash Alum.

However, I found when I had acne that a dab of toothpaste on every spot made them clear up quicker.|||It is supposed to work but theres only one way to find out and thats to get one. You could ask at your local pharmacy or a health foods shop- they might have a good idea. If not ring your GP and ask him where he would suggest.|||Well well 35 years and I have never heard of that one, nor of any other doctor advising it! I couldn%26#039;t even get it to google, let alone find in in any of my text books.

Usual medical managements are degreasers and topical or oral antibiotics. If he really knows what he is talking about, perhaps he should have told you what it is and how it works.|||I think you may have mis-heard him. Perhaps he said pumice stone. Available from chemists, beauty suppliers etc.
