Has anyone tried Acnezine acne treatment?

I got it for my son and it worked for him, also several of his friends also had success with it. I have only heard of a few people that it did not work for. I found a site that has a pretty good honest review of Acnezine if you want to read it.

Acne treatment question! clarifoam and erythromycin?

I went to the derm finally and he gave me clarifoam ef and erythromycin solution 2%. Its only my second day so I know it is way too early for results but I was wondering about your experience with it? When did you finally started clearing up? Also I know I am suppose to massage the clarifoam all over but how about the solution? Just on the acne or all over as well? Thanks =D|||For Erythromycin: Clean and dry the affected area before applying this medication. Apply a small amount to the affected area using fingertips, cotton balls or an applicator.

About how much does the acne laser treatment cost?

it depends on how bad is your acne and normally it will take a few treatment to get results. Best advise is to see a dermatologist and let him/her check the condition of your acne, how much of your face is affected by the acne and let the dermatologist give you a quote. Hope this helps and good luck.|||don%26#039;t waiste your money on acne treatment. i use salt and rinse with hot water it works!! mine went away in a month.|||I just recently starting using Proactive about a week ago. I like using a soap call CoalFace from a shop called Lush. Its really good at helping keep your skin clean also, Face masks help. As feminine as it sounds, but hey, id rather have clear skin :)|||The main causes of acne is toxins build up in the body and clogged pores caused by excessive oil and deadskin cells. These conditions provide a fertile ground for acne bacteria to spread and thrive.

Most acne products only treat the symptoms and not the source. Over the counter products such as gel and cream only make your skin dry %26amp; sensitive instead of treating acne at the source.

Prolonged use can even lead to premature aging and other health issues.

The only way to effectively fight acne and prevent acne from coming back is to attack acne from inside the body as well as outside on the skin. So, look for an acne product that fights acne internally as well as externally. They should also contains natural ingredients since they%26#039;re more safer to use and has less side effects.

There are also things you can do at home to get rid of acne. Take actions to detoxify your body and take care of your skin and soon, you will permanently end your acne and have clear, radiant, beautiful skin!

For the next couple of weeks, stick to the regimen below:

-Drink a glass of warm water with lemon and honey in the morning and evening

-Drink lots of water throughout the day to flush out the toxins

-Eat oatmeal for breakfast

-Eat 2 cups of yogurt a day - yogurt boost ur immune system and contain microbiotic organisms that help your digestive system and control the acid/yeast

-Exercise regularly

-Eat lots of green veggies (organic if possible)

-Stay away from coffee, sugar, carbohydrates, fatty and fried food, processed food.

-Take aloe vera pills - Aloe vera pills contains essential antioxidants and vitamins to nourish the skin and detox ur body. Go to www.amazingacnecure.com/healing_aloe.htm鈥?br>

-Stay out of stress - stress cause the body to produce excessive oil, which can clog the pores. Take some time to mediate and do deep breathing. That will help u to control stress.

-Wash your face in morning and evening with gentle cleanser, use natural toner, and follow up with oil-free moisturizer

If you have mild acne, following the above guideline should help you to control acne outbreak. However, if you have moderate to sever acne, it%26#039;s best to use an acne treatment system that treat acne from the inside as well as the outside. Any good acne treatment?

Well I have tried Proactiv and neutrogena and have not worked.I have a lot on my forehead and cheeks. And a lot of blackheads and my skin is very oily. Anyone that has tried something and worked for them please tell me.|||Not too long ago I went through the same exact thing as you. I had acne and whiteheads all over my face. I tried everything that you could possibly try at the drugstore and nothing worked so finally i gave up and decided to go to my doctor. My doctor prescribed me 3 different medications. 2 were topical and 1 was oral. One of the topicals was called %26quot;clindamycin phosphate sol 1%%26quot; which my doctor advised me to use every morning and the other was called %26quot;retin-a 0.025% cream%26quot; which she said to use every night, the oral medication is called %26quot;doxycycline hyclate%26quot; which you take once every morning and once every night. the topicals don%26#039;t cost that much and they last you a really, really long time; I%26#039;m still on my first bottles. The oral medication costs about 20 dollars for 100 pills.

The pills basically change your hormones so they take a month before they actually start working but it is so worth it. My face is super clear now and I haven%26#039;t had a pimple for so long. I don%26#039;t think you have to go to your dermatologist, I just went to my doctor. Just write down the names of the acne medications i gave you and ask your doctor if they could help you too. What is the difference between Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid for acne treatments?

What is the difference between the two, what does each do, and what is each suppossed to be used for? (spot treatment, etc)|||The first two answers were both correct, but I wanted to also add that benzoyl peroxide is much stronger than salicyclic acid. It is tough on sensitive skin, and can bleach clothing. Salicyclic acid is gentler, and is usually used in acne treatments for sensitive skin.

Both ingredients are used for the same thing -- treating and preventing acne. They are in a lot of over the counter acne creams, and can be used to spot treat, or for your entire face, depending on what you buy and what you need it for.|||I%26#039;m pretty sure that the Salicylic Acid opens up pores and cleans away dead skin, and the Peroxide kills bacteria that make it get inflamed.|||benzoyl peroxide kills p acne bactiera and salicylic acid helps normalize skin shedding to prevent clogged pores.

Know of any good Acne treatment products?

casuse acne sucks.....bad|||鈥?Here is a good cleansing regime with some extra things I do that has helped to keep me acne/pimple free. I have battled this since 13, so I have quite a bit of experience.

#1 Cleanse face with product such as Advantage Clean %26amp; Clear Cleanser or Neutragena Oil free Acne Wash

(I add a little dot of Clean and Clear acne scrub to the cleanser) Rinse all off when completed.

#2 Oxy 10 pads after cleaning to get off all final residue

#3 Neutragena Clear Pore Eliminating Astringent

#4 Clean and Clear Acne cream with Benzoyl Peroxide

#5 Neutragena Oil-free Anti acne moisturizer (only if you need it.)

Do this morning and night. Always use non clogging, oil-free makeup as well.

If your acne is not cystic, this you should be fine. If you have cystic acne then you will need to go to the dermatologist and have him put you on Accutane. There is no need for teenagers have permanent scarring when this great product is available.

Accutane is the ONLY cure. It actually strips the pores internally stopping the excessive oil production.

I put all three of my kids on Accutane the minute they started breaking out. I did not want them to have the scars on their faces like I STILL have on my face from cystic acne.

You will still need to use the cleaning regime after completing Accutane.

What's the best way to clear your skin without buying all those acne treatments?

I%26#039;ve tried a lot of the acne facial washes (ProActive, Clearasil, Neutragena, Clean and Clear, etc.) and none of them really did all that much. Everyone%26#039;s skin is different and there%26#039;s no such thing as perfect skin, i understand that, but what has worked for all of you?|||Many seriously go from one product to the next hoping this will be the one that finally works. It does not exist. And many harm and age skin and now we are learning are health harming also. It%26#039;s safer and better to go natural - that%26#039;s how I finally and permanently rid myself of all spots, pimples and all other conditions. Use an essential oil - there are some that have been used professionally by doctors, skin clinics, etc.to successfully treat and cure acne. They do not clog pores, and do not cause breakouts and actually neutralize excessively oily skin. (you can confirm with a Google search). And they are perfect moisturizers so you need no moisturizing products. Lavender, clove, rosewood and grape are excellent. I massaged skin very thoroughly and quite vigorously in places for 15 to 20 minutes daily and quite simply the massaging friction forced a new, clearer skin to emerge. Day by day skin became clearer and the spots simply faded away. First the blackheads went then the pimples then the rough dry skin and eventually all the spot scars - and skin has stayed totally blemish free., vibrantly healthy and radiant since. I am asked all the time. How do you get your perfect, clear skin.?

Try it you will be happy that you did.

SOURCE(S): 20 + years research, experimentation using safe, natural products to treat and cure skin conditions|||What to buy:

- a luffa sponge (you can find this at Fred Meyer)

- a bottle of Tea Tree Oil (this can be found at Target)

- cotton rounds or cloths to apply products

- a non- oil shower gel (preferrably something with %26quot;scrubbing beads%26quot;)

- clean and clear daily facial moisterising lotion (find this at any drug store)

1) When you do your daily shower, apply the shower gel to your face and scrub in a gentle circular motion with the luffa sponge (you can scrub more vigirously once your face becomes clearer)

2) COMEPLETELY rinse off your face and towel dry it

3) in the morning, apply clean and clear facial lotion to your face to ensure that your skin will sooth and not become extremely dry

4) at night, apply the tea tree oil to your face, diluted with water to the ratio of 50:50

If you have more delicate skin, you may need to use a different sponge besides the luffa, and dilute the tea tree oil more, but this process has worked WONDERS for me throughout the past years.

|||I acne problems starting when I was in high school. I had acne on my back that was embarrasing. I suggest you try finding a dermatologist that can help. http://www.homeacnecare.com|||Sometimes all those acne treatment mixed together on your skin can cause it to irritate, cause more acne. I find that using simple cleansers like cetaphil without the harsh chemicals more beneficial to the skin.|||I have tried like every kind of acne treatment and nothing works.. i hate life.|||jus wash ur face every time with warm water and keep it clean .... it worked 4 me|||http://acnemiracle.weebly.com/|||The tricky part about acne is that the problem can

actually become worse if you overmedicate. That%26#039;s

because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing

a boost in your skin%26#039;s Sebum (oil) production. This

results in...you guessed it - more acne.

So what%26#039;s the long term solution? Find gentler

solutions or even natural acne cures that won%26#039;t

shock your body into more breakouts.

Here%26#039;s what I recommend...

Glycerin based facewash:

Glycerin is gentler and will balance the

pH levels in your skin.

Antibacterial Soap:

For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap

to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry,

switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to

counterbalance the effect.

Don%26#039;t Overwash:

Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently

pat dry with a towel.

Moisterize:

Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based

face wash drys you out too much. I like using

Aveeno moisterizers personally.

Change Your Diet:

Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid

excess sugar intake. Food really does make a difference.

This is because the food you put into your body has a

direct effect on your Sebum (oil) production. By eating

the right foods, you%26#039;ll minimize oily skin, thereby

preventing breakouts.

Egg Whites:

If acne medication isn%26#039;t working or causing new breakouts,

try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed.

This natural remedy works by gently drying out the clogged

pores and clearing up the pimple.

Oatmeal Masks:

One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an

%26quot;oatmeal mask%26quot;. The oatmeal with smooth your skin while

simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores.

Try this for a few days straight. Wear the oatmeal mask

for 10 minutes, then wash off. You%26#039;ll have a nice

glowing complexion right after.

Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice also dries up pimples and kills any bacteria

in the infection. The citric acid also balances your skin%26#039;s

pH levels to prevent future breakouts.

Honey:

Yes, despite your initial beliefs, honey is FANTASTIC for

skin care. Actually, you may notice on many moisterizers

that honey is an ingredient. Much like the lemon solution

above, honey balances the skins pH levels. Test out this

sticky remedy by dabbing pimples with honey and leaving it

on for 5-10 minutes. You can apply full honey masks to your

face but I prefer the oatmeal masks instead.

They%26#039;re less messy.

What the best acne treatment, that really works? specifically for men?

Hi Heather,

it%26#039;s important to inform yourself first before buying the wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.

each night before you go to bed, put a SMALL dot of dawn dish soap (or equivalent -- must contain triclosan, i chose dish soap because regular soap seems to be too gentle to get the same effect with just one washing.) on each zit. make sure it%26#039;s a small enough amount that it won%26#039;t run down your face. if you get the soap anywhere else other than the zits, rinse it off before you go to bed, and start over. over the course of 1 - 4 days, the zits will itch. don%26#039;t scratch them. what%26#039;s happening is the zits are drying up and new skin is rapidly growing underneath them. you will eventually notice they%26#039;re peeling. then gently peel them off. (usualy about a week into it) if you%26#039;ve waited long enough for the new skin to grow, this is not painful at all, so make sure the new skin is good and ready.

Accutane guarantees results and there really arn%26#039;t any other choices on the market right now for severe acne. It%26#039;s also fustrating when people do not realize that topical treatments do not work for the kind of acne we have. That%26#039;s because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing a boost in your skin%26#039;s Sebum (oil) production. This results in...you guessed it - more acne.

So what%26#039;s the long term solution? Find gentler solutions or even natural acne cures that won%26#039;t shock your body into more breakouts. Here%26#039;s what I recommend:

- Use a glycerin based facewash. Glycerin is gentler and will balance the ph levels in your skin.

- For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry, switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to counterbalance the effect.

- Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently pat dry with a towel.

- Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based face wash drys you out too much.

- Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid excess sugar intake.

- If acne medication isn%26#039;t working or causing new breakouts, try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed. This natural remedy works great.

- One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an %26quot;oatmeal mask%26quot;. The oatmeal with smooth your skin while simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores.

Best of Luck!|||Proactiv probably won%26#039;t help you if you%26#039;ve already tried Benzoyl Peroxide. That is the main active ingredient in Proactiv, so it might not give you the best results.

For starters, stress increases your chances of getting acne. Also, make sure your pillows and bed sheets are washed regularly, as oil buildup on those can increase your acne. Also, do you have bangs? Natural oil or residue from hair products can add to your problem.

Try washing your face twice daily with Cetaphil bar soap and using makeup that is non-comedogenic, as it won%26#039;t clog your pores. I can%26#039;t speak too much on OTC acne medicine, as I needed prescription strength for mine. However, I know Neutrogena makes a clear acne gel that used to be very helpful to me. AVOID DDF BRAND. It has glycolic acid that could just make your problems worse. TRUST me.

For stronger medications, some options are:

*Tazorac (awesome topical cream that can be very intense; use only the slightest amount and it will peel off your top layer of skin.)

*Plexion (clay masque that will dry out acne)

*Doryx/Adoxa (oral medication that can greatly reduce occurrence of acne)

*Klaron (clear gel that you can wear all day and dries very quickly)

Good luck!|||You have to realize that acne does not go away overnight, though I wish it would. You have to consistently use the anti-acne stuff over a period of a few weeks to see the results. My recommendation includes the following:

1) Clean your bed linens on a regular basis

2) Reduce your stress levels through exercise, yoga, meditation or whatever

3) Choose 1 or 2 OTC acne medications and use them over the course of a few weeks before changing

4) Stay well hydrated

5) Visit your doctor if they don%26#039;t let up. It may possibly be an issue with hormones, or you will need a prescription medication to help. Usually a birth control pill coupled with a prescription acne medication will clear things up quickly.|||Vanessa, all forms of acne have their origin in wrong feeding habits, such as irregular hours of eating, improper food, excess of starches, sugar and fatty foods.Chronic constipation is another major cause of acne. If the bowels do not move properly, waste matter is not eliminated as quickly as it should be and the bloodstream becomes surcharged with toxic matter. The extra efforts of the skin to eliminate excess waste result in acne.

I tried applying fresh lime juice mixed with a half glass of boiled milk for treating my pimples and blackheads.I also used to drink a glass of wheat grass juice daily to remove my acne. But I failed to see substantial results.

Then I researched the net and came across this product which really helped me out. I am sure it will do you the same.

I have acne on my chin, and both sides of my face. It%26#039;s mainly red, a few whiteheads here and there but I only have blackheads on my nose. Proactiv doesn%26#039;t work for me and I recently started using AcneFree but I found out it%26#039;s an adult acne system. I am desperate to find something that will suit me. Mypupinky|||Dermatologists are the experts to answer this question for your particular case.

There are a huge number of products on the market that are sold over the counter. Despite many different brands, containers, and prices, these appear to all have one of two active ingredients: benzoyl peroxide, which seems to be the most common, and salicyllic acid, which is just the active ingredient of aspirin (aspirin is acetyl salicylic acid, which your body breaks down to the aformentioned chemical).

These may or may not work for you. It sounds like they might not be working for you.

A much more effective drug is topical Retin-A, which is now sold generically. Unfortunately, even the generic form is pretty expensive. As the name implies, this drug is chemically related to vitamin A. Starting out with it can be difficult because it can really irritate your skin at first.

A doctor might also prescribe topical antibiotics.

A really heavy gun to use for acne is an oral medicine (a pill) called Accutane. It is very expensive and can have very serious side effects. It should only be used under strict medical supervision for severe, cystic acne, so don%26#039;t try getting it illegally over the internet unless you feel like cooking your liver.

I dunno what else you can use.|||Wash your face with lemon juice.|||At this age it is quite normal. You have to wash your face quite often and keep it clean.

First of all, don%26#039;t use neutrogena or Proactiv...both will make your skin REALLY dry and you skin will produce more sebum...then more acne. You can use La Roche-Posay www.laroche-posay.com . They are REALLY good..... When I used that ( because I dont need it anymore) my face got really clear of acne. The other important thing is to wash your hands when possible and don%26#039;t touch your face with your hands. Also, some hair products can cause acne... You can also go to a tanning salon ( without using any creme...they are greasy)... it will dry your skin, but not too much if you go there not too often and not too long. It helps ALOT.|||how long did you use proactiv for it takes a little while to start working..... i would suggest going to your dermo and tey can get you a really good working acne treatment and i will work!

ps. maybe try proactiv again : /|||Hi Garrett! I%26#039;m so glad I saw your question. My son also used to break out. Proactive even made it worse. Anyway, as a very last resort I purchased a product called %26quot;Nature%26#039;s Cure%26quot; I did not expect it to work at all. and neither did he. But, honestly, within two weeks there was a significant difference. Within a month his skin looked 90% better. I highly recommend it (my son would too!). Here%26#039;s the web site (we bought it at a local drug store... CVS, but they also carry it at Target).

http://www.naturescure.com|||As others have pointed out, it%26#039;s important to keep your face as clean as possible. This includes washing your hair everyday to keep oils in your hair from getting on your face. Having some acne at your age is not uncommon, but you%26#039;re right to try to treat it early. If it becomes advanced, it can leave permanent scars. Ideally, you should see a dermatologist. I%26#039;m not familiar with all of the new treatments, but when I was your age, I used Clearasil on individual breakouts and that seemed to help dry them up. I used the clear kind so it was invisible. Stay away from soaps with perfumes, as that might aggravate the situation. You might try Basis soap, or Ivory. Murad acne treatment doesn't work?

I started using the murad acne treatment about 3 months ago. Then i found that most of the reveiws were terrible and just made acne worse.

My acne is getting a lot worse, and ive been getting it in places on my face that ive never had it before.

Should i stop using it??

Is Cetaphil and Differin the best treatment for dry skin and moderate acne?

My dry skin is flaking on my face and I have huge red bumps on the sides of my face|||Let me start off by saying that this may not work for everyone but I have been using Cetaphil and Differin for over a year now and my skin and has never looked so beautiful. In the beginning, I was completely scared because I saw how my skin was interacting with the Differin. I couldn%26#039;t believe the constant flaking and blotching. I was so worried, I contacted the dermatologist right away and she promised me that it would clear up in a few weeks but that its part of the process of the medication and told me to wait patiently...she also said that if there wasn%26#039;t any noticeable improvement we would move onto something else...Well, one year later, I couldn%26#039;t be more happy with the condition that my skin is in. Its soft, vibrant...fabulous, and I rarely apply foundation or have pimple flare ups...Im completely satisfied.

My advice. if you haven%26#039;t seen any changes in your skin, after 6-8weeks of continous application...tell your dermatologist so that she can prescribe something new.

The important thing is what type of SOAP you use in the shower. Most garbage soap you find in normal stores has Tallow, which is animal-fat, and clogs pores and CAUSES Acne and are extremely DRYING to the skin. What you need is real soap, not detergent, almost all cheap store brand soaps aren%26#039;t actually soap at all! They strip away healthy oils, and leave you with pore clogging animal-fat and dry skin.

Switch to vegan-based Castile soaps, Dr. Bronners is fantastic, I recommend it. No residues, no skin clogging, and extremely good at clearing up skin troubles.

For immediate relief, get Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash. Tea Tree Oil is fantastic for killing off Acne and preventing new acne growth. Consider it natures safe and non-toxic version of Benzoyl Peroxide.

I do not recommend Cetaphil and I am unsure why people seem to be pushing it lately. The ingredients in Cetaphil are a hodge-podge mix of cancer causing synthetics and skin irritants.|||You should get this book from Dr. Leslie Baumann called %26quot;Skin Type Solution%26quot; it just came out in paperback and it has helped me immensely. You may actually be having an allergic reaction to something. The other thing to do would to see a Dr. But the book is cheaper and easier to get to!|||You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don%26#039;t pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you%26#039;re waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you%26#039;re rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That%26#039;s what I%26#039;m doing. God Bless.|||Cetaphil is recommended by dermatologists for acne but not for dry skin.

If these bumps have just developed, they may be because your skin is too dry for th natural oils to clense your face in a normal way.

Try a facial moisturizer that does not have oil as a base (Oil of Olay Oil Free moisturizer is nice and mild).

Use this for three days (not Cetaphil) and see if the bumps reduce.|||Was your skin dry before you started using differin? Some side effects of differin are dryness, redness, and flaking. These conditions should subside after a few weeks of use. Cetaphil is an OK cleanser. It works well on sensitive skin. I would give the differin a few weeks to work and if not then ask the dermatologist for something else.
